                    Hi Don,
Could you please post side view picture of the catch?

Robert...not a problem on either my part or Larry's. Just keeping things straight for the sake of this thread.

This will be a good thread I am sure. I agree, it is a different badge. I stopped looking for a good GB a long time ago becuase when I compared 6 badges they were all different. I will see what I can find on these in my files, as I do not own one.

                        Regards,

                        Anthony H

Time to throw my hat in the arena. For a long time I've believed this to be a good badge firstly from where it came from, and second because in all the times I've posted it on the forum its never been questioned. This however looks like it will be its toughest test so far. So here we go:

                          Weight 20.9g
                          Wreath 60.046mm X 44.785
                          Wreath Plus Tank 46.863

While I can only speak for my badge, the piece of metal on the tread is a small piece that aparently fell into the low point of the die, not a flaw. If Other than it would leave a bare zinc spot, it could be removed. I really don't have a good shot of the eagle' talons. The detail is there but not as pronounced as on Philippe's badge. Same with the acorns. This is truly going to get interesting.
