Very weak details but I think the badge is original. I have had a silver one that practically mint on the backside, but also failed in details on the front, especially on the gun barrel, and the lights. Just a bit strange also on this one is the head of the eagle, it seems to miss a part on the top...

Do you have a close up from the catch? It looks like it's just soldered on, or is it a replacement?
      Kind regards,
      Giel

Could be wrong but I don't like either, wrong eagle head, breastfeathers, gunbarrel, wrong catch, poor details overall, but like I said could be totally wrong here, these days I'm not surprised of anything anymore.

I am not a PAB guy but i am going to stick my neck out and say it´s a Fake.

The reason why is the lack of obverse details, such as the eagle´s head which makes it look like a Duck.

Reverse is also lacking details, wingtips can´t be seen, the outer part of the tank is mutch more narrower then known badges. And i don´t like the catch area.

But as i said i don´t collect these so i could be wrong, still learning.
          Regards
          Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I have just started adding PABs to my collection just last year, so I am still learning a lot on these. But to me the detailing of the eagles head, feet, and feathers is not there. The tank treads and road wheels also do not show the detail that I have seen on other PABs from this maker. Detail along the leafs and reef also are not present. On the reverse, the ball hinge looks smaller then others that I have seen. And the scooped out portion looks to deep. I would say it is a copy.

Semi hollow in tombak.... Catch is wrong, hinge crimp looks wrong, details weak front and back. Looks like a cast badge to me. Fake IMHO.

It is a "bummer" Phil, but i would love to see hinge pictures here. Is this the badge with hinge being part of the whole badge?

Bummer has a different meaning in England Robert.

For me its a cast copy in buntmetal. Good try but to much wrong with it. I´d like to see the hinge and hook in profile as well.

I knew I shouldn't use that word on the public forum...man I’m spending way too much time on the south side Chicago...

Looks to be a cast piece to me also. The hinge and catch appear to be a integeral part of the badge and the details are way too soft on the obverse.

                        Hi Philippe

As I can see......its ball hinge is a bit smaller, and its catch is incorrect. And......I agree with guys above.

                          Hi Guys,

Well you all recognized it, it's just so obvious isn't it. Only stupid thing is I must have been a sleep when paying quite a lot of money for it a the Illingen show.

This is a type of AS in trinagle fake I have never seen before and as far as I'm concerned it has to be a very old creation. Just shows that you always need to stay allert, at a certain moment you think you have seen an handled it all and that is when attention slips and you make mistakes

Here are some close-ups of the set-up it's just so obvious when you pay attention but this is what I didn't do, It was just another As in triangle
