    Dear Frank,

What a WONDERFULL PAB, it is just a superb piece. I think that the 'ASSMANN" PAB's would have looked like this when they were issued and most of the hollow back ones would have come like this, does anybody have an ASSMANN in this condition? I have several but with only 6-70% of the frosting left.

    Regards,

    Anthony

            Thanks,

Found it for 120.- Euro at Reichertshofen show. BUT - all prices are not that ok there. I was lucky to find some good stuff for reasonable prices. Most is overpriced, remember the same guys you know from the net sell their stuff there as well. Better luck with the "small fish" dealers that are half collectors.

            Cheers, Frank

                  other shot front the front.

A little boy bought this one in 1945 in a store that had all the german medals for sale. The store was located in Brugge (Belgium, where I live). He paid a 50 franks for this one. (thats approx. €1.2). He kept this one and also an U-bootabzeichen and zerstorerabzeichen in a little box for almost 55 years. without looking at them.
I know you guys dont like story's but this one is 100% tru.

                        Next Vacation

Those PABs are great guys! Next time I take vacation I am going to go to Germany and hang around outside of Frank's door and follow him everywhere. I've just got to find the source of all his great pieces. And if that doesn't work, there is always Nick's place!

He is probably deceased now? What was his name and where was the store? Do you have pictures of his badges?
