    Silver JFS IAB

    Hello all,

I picked this up at the Sacramento militaria show last Sunday. I think I did pretty good on this one. The only minus is that the pin is jammed so that I can't pull it back all the way to get a good shot of the mark (and I don't want to force it for fear I'll break it off).

Any opinions and/or photo's for comparison are very welcome!

    Eric

        Hello Eric,

This is a nice Silver JFS IAB in textbook configuration, IMO the Silver is much harder to find than the Bronze, so cheers to you.

        Regards,

        Anthony

              Hi Eric,

That's a nice one. Mine is shown in the Association Image Library on page 2 of IABs. Love those mean JFS eagles!

              Regards,
              Greg

                Thank you!

I appreciate the replies and photographs!

Anthony--Yes, it seems the silver JFS IABs are a bit more difficult to locate than the bronze. I've seen them only on a few on-line dealer sites, so when I saw this one (at considerably less than what the on-line dealers are asking for) I couldn't pass it up and decided it should be in my collection.

Jan Arne and Greg--Your badges look like they are mint, great looking ones! Thanks for sharing for comparison.

Another thing too. I have to say thanks for this site. The show in Sacramento was pretty good, but there was (IMO) a lot of pieces that were not original that were being offered as such. Without this forum it would be an even more dangerous minefield than it already is!

                Eric
