I am new to Badge collecting and have acquired quite a few great badges in a short period of time:1 bronze CCC, 4 IAB'S,1GAB,1 Ground assault badge, but what i really want is a ANTI PARTISAN BADGE, but there are so many fakes out there that i am affraid of making a purchase. I was at a recent L.A. collectors show and there was 3 APD'S that all looked good to my eye. Many of the old time collectors that were at the show said that they would not buy any because the fakes are so good that they couldn't tell. Soooo-----is there any was of really telling for sure.I humbly await some answers to my dilema.

Robin, be patient! I´m thinking of selling my APB collection (badges, paybooks, award citations etc) and if I do, I will use WA.

Robin, to buy an Antipartisan badge may be not the best for a new collector. As you said there is a lot of fakes of this item, this badge is one of the more expensive and as it is difficoult to find you never have good references to compare.
I suggest you try to get it from a honest and well known dealer.
As Ludwig said: be patient.
