Badges: Sales Help

Hi everyone:

I'm new to the Badge Forum (my passion is with German helmets) and want to sell off some badges to help finance a rather large purchase. Most badges were purchased from The Ruptured Duck over the last 3-4 years.

I'm looking for approx. sales values as they will all be posted on the E-Stand. And, is it best to sell as a group or individually.

Here's what I've got. Pics will be posted this week:


Silver IAB: Marked W lower left of badge back. Very good condition

Silver IAB: Marked FZZS. Very good condition

Bronze IAB: Marked JFS. Very good to low excellence

Silver PB: Marked HA. Very good condition

Silver IAB: Unmarked. Good condition

CCC Bronze: JFS marked. Very good to low excellence

Luft. Flak Badge: Marked WH in center. Good Condition (this was not purchased from The Ruptured Duck)

GAB: Unmarked. Good condition

Values have everything to do with the condition of the badge. I have seen JFS IAB's go for 200+ USD's in Mint condition and I have seen them go for as low as 100 USD's in not so mint condition. I have also seen HA PAB's go for 300 usd's to 150 in the same way. So basically it all depends on how much finish is left and if the catch and hinge are intact and a few other factor.

Just curious about the finish on the Hobacher Flak badge. I only ask because I am writing a Flak book and wonder if the trend I have seen keeps going.

Hi Larry

I agree with Christophers comments. I also think you need to do your own homework by visiting a few dealer sites and checking out the estand on this forum.
I think selling individually is the way to go. And if you do not want to offend other sellers place them all in the same thread.

Why not start them on the e-stand at what you want for them, and work down to what you'll accept for them if they don't sell at first?
