Philippe:
Sorry about the photo goof up in terms of which type is which.
I would appreciate your help in differentiating the OM types for me.
I noticed this morning that the one Robert posted with a later setup, and the one you posted with the earlier setup, both lack the leaf vein die flaw associated with some of the OM IABs. (see 1st photo attachment)
Others possess this die trait. Is this the key to to recoginzing which type is which, or are there other aspects of the badge that I should be concentrating on.
Hopefully this isn't displaying an abundant level of ignorance on my part.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Made you this compare. You can clearly see that these are two completely different IAB designs. Untill now there is no explaination towards the OM mm on both apart from the fact that it could be some kind of distributor mark. Apart from Tim's badges non were ever found with the OM mm or any other mm as far as I'm aware of.

Thanks so much Philippe:
Looking at your side by side photos I can see major design differences. Right off the bat, the eagle's heads and feathering around the legs are readily noticeable.
Significant design differences all over the place actually.
I appreciate your effort in posting the comparison.

Dennis the type 2 badges with the broken leaf stem can actually be divided into two separate groups as well. The angle of the eagles neck and position of the eagles beak are differentiating factors. Whether it is two dies or hand finishing is yet to be determined. Need more pics, but I personally am not sure. I once thought hand finishing and now I lean towards two dies.
