Is this a FAKE ? Or a Badge that has had a real hard life ?

Dear Jan Arne,

In my opinion a fake. These have been (and still are) sold by the known peddlers in numbers. They all have the same indentations on the reverse wreath and a wrong pin.

Here's the illustrated version of the loser I picked up after referring to a popular badge reference (in the time before Frank's GAB book)......I thought it was OK at the time.
