Good question Andreas. First I think we need to establish whether this maker finished and then crimped, crimped and then finished, or did both on his badges. We need to see more of them.

The fittings on my Foerster & Barth "pillow crimp" don't have the finish carrying over onto them, but they are made of a silver-colored metal (not magnetic).

I also saw these Pab´s on Mister Haas website (No. 05-213 and 05-222) IMO both of them are original but refinished, never see a finish like that one on these type of PAB´s.

This is no reflection upon Andreas badges but this site is full of questionable items. You better do your homework if you intend to buy.

                        Hi Guys,

Both PAB's are original no doubt but at the same time I'm also confident that they are refinished.

On the pillow crimp (posts 6 & 7) the typical "haas" refinishing texture is very well visible.

The oval crimp already looks better but what links them together IMO are the little black dots visible on the reverse of both.

Anybody who ever had the opportunity to handle "haas" badges on a show knows that just like "afrikaheld" he's a master in refinishing. From their fakes we know that they master the technique of polishing. It seems that they are now applying this technique to upgrade originals. The quality of these finishes is very good and acceton proof.

                          Hi Guys !
I have heard that they have been using " Silverdip" here in Norway . But I dont know if that only cleans og if it gives a new Silver Finish .

It only cleans, And I would not advise anybody to do that!
