    Fake CCC?

    Hello
A friend on mine just gave me this badge; she got it at an estate sale. I was hoping that I can get some opinions on this one. Thanks for the help.

I had one of these fakes and from what I can tell yours looks good! The way to tell is at the ten o'clock position on the catch there is a die mark. Yours doesn't seem to have this. Looks good to me but lets see what the experts say!

IMO not original, but let´s hear what Tom Durantee has to say.

                    Hi guys,

Ludwig and Chay are correct, this is a reproduction. There are many reproductions of the AGMuK clasp, and the diefault on the reverse is one some, but not all of them. Just something to look for on one particular fake.

This one is that fake, and you can see the die mark to the top left of the catch, it is a vertical line extending up from the circle around the catch. Also, the eagle on these is the big giveaway.

If you study the eagles on originals, you will not be fooled on these, or many fake CCCs.

                    Tom D.
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I was looking for the mark and didn't see it in the pic, now i magnified it a couple of times and do see it. Damn eyes are so bad!!!
