    PAB and IAB Makers

I just acquired about fifty photos (including two King Tiger shots), a Panzer Assault Badge and an Infantry Assault Badge from the estate of a medic who served with a tank destroyer battalion at the Battle of the Bulge. The badges are one-lookers as you can see, but can anyone identify the makers? Notice that the former owner of the Infantry Assault Badge scratched his name on the back of the badge "PETER VON II."

I am also interested in hearing opinions are the relative rarity of the badges produced by these makers and any other general comments. Thanks everyone!

        Hi Barry,

The PAB is a massive "seven-wheeler;" the maker is unknown. Not the most common PAB to find, but not particularly rare. This one looks to be in better-than-normal condition.

        Best,
        Greg

          Hi Barry

I believe the maker of the IAB is also unknown. Not rare, but nice to see the hinge, catch and rivets all intact.

          nice finds

          regards
          Graeme

Nice PAB Barry There are two different patterns of this badge and you have the second type.
