Does no one have a opinion? Good, bad, indifferent?....

I have not seen this version of the Ost award doc before.

However I am no expert. I'll have to check my award doc book and check.

Do you recall where you got the doc from? Collectors are always wary of "SS" award doc's in unfamiliar formats.

      Good Luck,
      Mike

I agree totally, that is why I'm posting it here and asking for feedback.

I got it at a little junk shop on the way back to Memphis after the SOS in Louisville. That is about all I know on the history.

Thank you for the info, ya never know......it could be genuine.

As soon as I check my books I'll get right back to you, hopefully some of our award doc experts might chime in too!

          Good Luck,
          Mike

I do not like what I see. IMO not good.

Not questionig, just wanting to learn. Can you tell me what you see wrong?

The design of the citation looks very strange and I can hardly believe they would use one like that, but on the other hand... you´ll never know. But it doesn´t look genuine.

This doc was clearly deemed a fake elsewhere on the net, for many various reasons. If you got it at a little junk shop, somebody passed it off there, and they passed it on to you.
The previous owner knew it was bad.
Edit: the medal itself is probably good, so somewhere around $30 for that....

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

It is odd that someone would go to that much trouble for a Eastern Medal, and not a Iron Cross or something.....

Not only a crook, but stupid too.

Anything that says "SS" on it brings the big $$$. And fake docs are cheap to produce. A bit of paper, a bit of ink, voila! Instant profit.
