    Army paratrooper from the SOS

Found this zinc para at the SOS, one of only two originals I saw there. I have given it a thorough review and feel 99% sure it is good but just to get that last 1%, here are some pics for review.

    Thanks, Alan

Reverse, magnetic steel pin, cut at the bottom with wire cutters. The bright spots look like paint but I think it is a thick coat of the finish. There is not one fleck of silver on the wreath or gold on the eagle.

Oh yea, and the measurements are right on too, 55 x 42mm

              Alan,

I love it. A real class badge. Wish I could find one to.

Is that some kinda stamp on the bottom of the pin or does it just look like it?

                    Alan,

You did your homework well, my friend. With so many of these 'floating' around in fake form, you made the correct choice. Love the bubbling to the reverse! THAT can't be faked.

                    Regards,
                    Mark

Has anyone seen the one on Carsten Baldes' site and if so what are your thoughts?

                        Thanks everyone.

Skip, those are not any markings on the bottom of the pin. Just little dents from being held very tight with some pliers, maybe how the the pin was held when it was cut.

Yes! It was a fake. Baldes got an information (by some of the FJ guys ) and it should be no longer for sale there.

                            Fine badge Alan
