    Panzer Lanyard...

    Hi guys,
After heavy negotiations with my good friend Ron (......), I was able to secure this 8th grade Panzer Lanyard (thank you Ron......).
Thanks to Philippe’s great post from the past I educated myself how to quickly recognize them. Let me quote Philippe here:

“You can recognize them by their wreath design, color and number of little grenades attached.

Grade 1-4 small aluminum colored wreath representing a panzer track
Grade 5-8 Broad aluminum colored oak leave wreath
Grade 9-12 Broad gold colored oak leave wreath

Except for grades 1-5 and 9 every other grade will feature one (grades 2/6/10) two (3/7/11) or three (4/8/12) little panzer grenades.”

This Panzer Lanyard is probably with the replaced material cloth backing and anti rubbing material is missing as well, but it did catch my heart immediately when Ron presented this to me over the weekend.
I would like to ask all of you for your opinions and if anyone got any grades of Panzer Lanyards in his possession, please share them here without hesitation. I would be really pleased to see other examples.
I personally think that these Lanyards are one of the most underappreciated TR awards. Maybe it is because they have no connection to the combat…

                    Robert,
Very nice! I don't consider them underappreciated as they are not cheap. A nice one of these is going to run you what a good PAB is going for. I have yet to add one of these to my holdings as a nice one at a reasonable price is a oxymoron....

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
@Chet - I especially used term "underappreciated" my friend and not “under valuated”......

There are photo of guys who have taken the backing off and worn these as PABs - pretty cool! Gorgeous piece. Your heart beats PANZER!

                            Dear Robert,

Indeed a very nice piece. Don't even recall ever seeing a grade 8 before

As you know I have a grade 1 and a grade 9 and really would love to add a grade 5-8 to my collection but untill now didn't find one for a good price.

                              Hi guys,
Ok, let’s learn something here about those Lanyards. As I said at the beginning the wool backing was probably replaced. Also, the anti rubbing material is gone.
I would really like to know what else could be wrong with this Lanyard. Please post ALL your opinions. I’m not a specialist here and I would really like to learn about them as much as I can.
