    Panzer Badge...in cloth?!

I have the opportunity to purchase this item. Thought it would be a good idea to post a photo or two prior to diving in on this one.

I would love to hear some opinions on this rarity! Anyone ever seen one before? Thoughts?

        Calvin,
Something like this has never been documented in anyway or sort to my knowledge. The construction of this item is suspect also. Honestly, it looks to be a fantasy piece to me.

There is a remote possibility that an individual soldier created something like this for a camouflage jacket or a similar field purpose. It would mean this is an individual item and it would be only logical that you do not see it on photographs or somewhere else. Knowing by stories of my father, some of them documented in pictures, stange things against the regulations did very well exist. Front soldiers did have the liberty to wear some pretty individual stuff.
In the case of this badge, you have to believe in it or condemn it, there will be no proof, unless the creator was your father or grandfather.
I personally like these naively made cloth badges better than an attempt to create the real thing in better proportion and embroidery, made in Pakistan or India.
If cheap, one can acquire it. If it smells right, it might very well be a period item. Not necessarily made to go onto a uniform, but who knows?
          Cheers, Frank
