    Something missed....

    Damn, what a thread ! I was far to think such a makers mark would still be such a mystery today, and would bring up so many questions...

    I wasn't too fond of the "delta theory" when I read it ; I too think that in this case, the stylised "D" would be the most important letter of the logo, something more like the maker's name.

    But as far as I see things, the triangle surely represents a trilogy of some kind rather that a name's initial ; the three dots included in the logo even strengthens this idea IMO. Still IMO, the compared sizes of the two letters A and S here are for sure respectively for the first name and name of the maker (which is not a big surprise, given the theories expressed in the thread in question).

      @Bruce: No, you did not. There is no confirmation for A.D: Schwerdt other than the fact that M. Tucker has found one of those in an A.D. Schwerdt named packet. As far as I know that remained the only one case.
