Award document to the Silver PAB...

    Hi guys,
I’m looking for the earliest award document to the Silver PAB (Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber). So far I was able to track it down to the June 10th 1940. This is the earliest I could find. If anybody got this type of the document with an earlier date, could you please post the date when the document was issued here? Many thanks in advance!

Revision: new date to beat: May 25th 1940!!! (thanks to Mark Bakker)

    Dear Robert,

I think maybe you should post this question in the Doc. Forum. I know they once had a similar thread looking for the earliest IAB award date.

          Hi Guys,

Well it just dawned on me that I had a copy of W. Lorbeer's (1 PZ Regt 5) WP. This is the guy that received a NS Porsche PAB that was transformed in to a cut-out grass version in 1943.

IMO it will be difficult to beat this award date.

Thanks Guys! I knew i can count on you!
So far, so good. Philippe just set the new record: May 31st 1940! Impressive, especially taking in to the account that the "western" campaign started on May 10th 1940!!!...

This is indeed interesting. He was probably transferred from Panzergrenadiere to the tank crew…
