I have never seen an eagle's beak like that before. I'll have to do a search for a match.

          Hi Stefan,

I like what I see, detailing, ageing, finish (looks like better quality then wahat you normally encounter on these zinc flaks) set-up but I agree with Don,very weird expression on that eagles face.

For what its worth, I like it as well.

Is the semi circle under the hook a "pr******228;ge fehler" like on Schwerin Coastal Artillerys?

                Hi skip,

you are right, the "Prägefehler" looks really similar to the circle on my Schwerin coastal artillerie badge.

                    Hi Winfried,
there strong connection here with the flat back PAB's. IMO the same guys were responsible for production this Heer Flak and the flat back PAB's.

I found these army flak badge with marker W.H. Wien with a grey finish. You can see it on the needle. Why only the army flak badges???

                        Hello Winfried,

in my opinion is the mentioned badge at militaria.de a fake.

                        regards

                        Stefan

                          another one

Carsten Baldes has this one on his site right now. Same funky grey paint, same semi-circular mark.

Here is the front. Definately not the same IMHO. What sort of mystery do we have here? Opinions?
