          Gab

          Hello Gents.

Thanks to Pierre for posting my GAB. I am glad that my first (ungroundug) PAB is a keeper. I do have the catch and I was wondering if I should have it put back on. I know a medal maker/Jeweller in here in Silesia and he said he could do a period repair. This thing is, I know that collectors always say that you should leave well alone but I feel it would be a small repair that would make the badge complete. I mean, I would not be deceiving anyone would I?
Also, is the W maker of the GAB a good one/desirable?...I mean, how does it compare with the other makers?

          Thanks for all your comments.

            Hi Adam,

If you still have the original catch IMO you should try to put it back on. These Wurster catches should have a small catch base, if you put a little drop of super glue on that, you should be able to put the catch back in place without altering the badge in any way.

The Wurster GAB is a desirable variant because of its fairly good quality and unique design.
