What to do with this IAB

Hi all, this is part of a small group. It seems to have a dark - almost black - version of zinc pest. I've heard of the vaseline cure, not sure if that's good or not. If more pix are needed, please advise. This is part of a small group that I may get rid of soon, so maybe I should leave "as-is" for the possible new owner?
Any and all inputs gladly welcomed.
    thanks
    Hank

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Here's the reverse. Top right you can see where it's sort of scraped off to reveal the base metal...don't know if that's good or bad.
Once again, thanks for any help.

      Hello Hank

I would apply little vaseline on your IAB. Let it sit on the badge for 24 hours and then wipe it clean using a dry clean cloth and Q-tips. I recently applied vaseline on a PAB covered with zinc pest and the 24 hour vaseline bath did wonders. It truly is a simple process and it really does improve not only the look of the badge, but helps protect it from further decay. Good luck.

      Best Regards
      Mike
