        Thank for all the respond and ofcourse Mark, for the mesurements, very handy!

        I also tried to contact Mr. Queen for his opinion on this badge, and I'm very curious about his response.

        @Heinrich, very nice badge, even the highly worn ones stay very nice imo!

          Giel,

          In my opinion, your badge is a 100% original (and very nice) example of the 2nd pattern (Type B) badge in aluminum. As Mark mentioned, 2 different types of the 2nd pattern badge were produced via at least 2 production runs. These runs, at different times, accounted for at least two variances in the 2nd pattern badges. One being the thickness of the wreath (resulting in the weight variance) and the other, which is the easiest way to spot the two types, is the pin. Every Type B badge (like yours) I have ever seen has the characteristic needle tip pin, where as every Type A badge (like Marks) has the blunt tip pin.
