                Hi Giel,

Quickly glancing at it, it looks good. I see many characteristics that I would expect to see. The recessed rivets, the hinge, the barrel of the pin is black, the 'flimsy' catch (which is commonly broken or repaired) is distorted from it's normal position..... all look good. On the front, the national eagle has 'the beard', the coloring of the wreath and diving eagle is characteristic, and the die strike shows good detail.

I can weigh and measure mine later today for comparison.

                Regards,
                Mark

                            Giel,

My badge weighs 13.6 grams (1,7g variance). The explanation for the difference may be that my badge has a thick wreath = 3,80mm.. (It is my understanding that these second model Paras had either thin or thick wreaths. If Eric is reading, maybe he can chime in.) The width is 42,36mm (0,51g variance). The heighth is 55,40mm (0,55g variance).

All in all, the height and weight are only about 1% different. The weight seems fine.

Still a good badge for me.

                            Regards,
                            Mark

                              Hi Giel!

Sorry for delay, but I have a new antivirus system which works so "good", that I was no longer able to post here and elsewhere

IMHO a nice bagde and as the others already told you, no doubts about

I miss Eric Queen statements in such threads It******180;s his field and should it be!
