APB IN GOLD w/Diamonds
The APB in GOLD with the Juncker inscription has been discussed at length on a previous thread and is a well known reproduction. The only known pieces I believe IMHO to be authentic are the ones pictured in Dietrich's recent book on Heer Awards. The one sold at the Max I believe also to be authentic as the pin clasp set up match other badges from Juncker's custom shop to include a similar set up to the 20 July wound badges. I have seen close up the one sold at the Max, and the provenance given to its surfacing, lend to its credibility.
The badge pictured from the book is the APB in GOLD with Blued Sword, and very few of these were distributed, mostly to Karstjager who served in Italy. I have seen close up photos of a Blued Sword variant, and the rear pin/clasp set up match to APB variant with diamonds sold at the Max.
