    Nice Catch!

    Philippe:

Very nice addition to your collection. It's the first bronze example i've seen by this maker. Here's my silver badge, which you might remember. "Monster" is particularly apropos- my hand still aches from lifting it off the scanner!

        Morning guys,

Well glad to read that we have a a small "Monster" fan club here

Alex yep your badge as Dylans are both original Monster S&L's, easy to recognize from the reverse by some very distinctive dieflaws. However whatch out a whole series of S&L fakes was based on the Monster PAB and features the same dieflaw above the eagles head when looked upon from the reverse.

It indeed is only the second bronze one I have ever seen. Weitze had one up for sale last year but I don't know who mananged to secure it. I guess I was lucky getting this one from DN. Only my first buy from him this year and IMO everybody went for the shiny classic S&L in that same update leaving the Monster for me

          Philippe:

Congratulations on acquiring one of the PABs on your wish list.

Question - Are the "monster" series of S&L PAB fakes the same as the S&L PAB fakes with the perfectly flat back, and the leaves that Frank H. described as being "too wavy" (posted on a recent thread)?

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

          Dennis

            Dear Dennis,

No, these are different fakes. The one with the "wavy leaves" is based on the original which is calleD "s-c Juncker" for lack of a better definition. One of these originals has been found with a known (original) Osang mark.
            Cheers, Frank

Thanks for clearing that up Frank!

You can't know too much about the fakes out there, and I'll note the two distinct types.

Does anyone have a photo of the "monster" PAB fake to share?

              Dennis

                Hi Guys,

Well thought I put it with the other monsters. Just recently managed to upgrade my Bronze monster S&L. The other one was in very good condition but all the finish just faded. This one retains 100%
