    Maker Marked Hollow SHuCo IAB

    Hello all:

For your consideration, a SHuCo hollow maker marked IAB in bronze. I fear the photos are not the best. The catch has been crushed, and the pin is fixed in place.

I would love to upgrade, but these maker marked hollow ShuCo examples seem somewhat elusive. Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks, Dennis

            I almost forgot to ask

Could you please check the reverse hardware if it´s magnetic please

Btw, just for the record, those of this hollow type of IAB that i have seen are all the 5 stemmed type. And all have been in Bronze.
            Regards
            Hans N

              Dennis.....Very nice.

As Hans pointed out how difficult these are to find, feel fortunate that you have one and are able to look for an upgrade.

your badge has a lot of character

We have certainly been spoilt tonight with some great IABs....

              regards

                Hans:

The hardware on the SHuCo is NON magnetic.

If you have only seen three of these, I guess I won't hold my breath waiting for an upgrade.

I suppose I'm going to experience a similar hard time getting a JFS marked hollow IAB too. I've yet to get one near my hands.

Many thanks to you for providing a wealth of information on SHuCo IAB production over the course of numerous threads. It certainly enhanced my knowledge of this maker.

                Dennis

                  Hi Dennis

You are very lucky to get marked hollow SHuCo IAB. I like SHuCo IAB as well as Hans does..... Think about us when you want to release it.

I hope I did not offend you in any way by not mentioning the tremendous contribution you made to the study of SHuCo IABs. I had no clue there were so many SHuCo IAB variants until I read some of your threads.

Today was the first day I posted with pictures, so I've been preoccupied with trying NOT to screw up the mechanics of the process too badly.....so forgive the oversight.

I've had this SHuCo for well over 10 years. It was a direct vet acquisiton and here comes the sick part......its the only hollow IAB I have!

I've still got a lot to learn about the subtle differences between many of the authentic hollow IAB variations.

                      Dennis,

thanks for the hardware information and the kind words.

I could kill to get me on of those for my collection

                            hi Dennis

Thanks for your kind words, and welcome to the forum. Actually, Hans did a lot of work, and forum members helped us a lot. My first IAB was Siliver SHuCo 41 IAB. Man, so you can image how I like it. BTW, your one looks like a 5-stems varient. Is there any cross-hatching on the gunsight? Can you provide some shots of the catch? Thanks

                              Indy:

There is no crosshatching to the gun sight to speak of, compared to the defined pattern seen on other SHuCo IABs.

The catch is/was a left opening C type catch which is now squashed down on top of the pin.....I don't dare play with it......but I will try and get some more detailed pictures using a digital camera here in the near future, and I will share them with you.
