              Hi Ak,

Saw this one when it came up for sale. Original no doubt but yet one more of these inexplicable numbers. I'm sure one day we'll crack that number secret.

                Hello Philippe,

but this time there is a great chance for having the correct answer for the number question, because 93 was the official number for RSS.

But please don't ask me why they used their number instead of the RSS Logo
                Best regards, Andreas

A great find, ak! First one I have ever seen marked that way and I agree, in this case the number is logical.
                  Cheers, Frank

                        Hi AK

The nice part about this badge is the raised maker mark. If it is fully part of the reverse then a different reverse die was probably used. Also it is placed where I would expect it to be.

Most of the other numbered marks we see tend to be stamped. Quite often they are placed in "not to be expected" positions and could quite easily be added long after the badge was manufactured.

                        nice

                        regards

                        Graeme

Terrific catch on the IAB AK. Its nice to know there are still new, and never before seen pieces out there lurking about. Thanks for sharing your detailed photos.
