    IAB in photograph

Just acquired this pix and it's a pretty decent shot of the IAB...can anyone guess the maker on the badge? First up is the whole photo and then a close-up.

      Hi

Looks like an Ernst Mueller to me.

      regards

        EMuller

Here's my EMuller....have to admit, there's a striking resemblance (for what it's worth I superimposed the images and my EM's wreath is a little wider). I also compared to Lorenzo Brown's LM and the results are more promising.

Could there be any other possibilities?

Well, there are plenty of IABs to choose from but I think the Em does have a very distinctive rifle shape, especially just below the bayonet. Also between the leaves it is very narrow and added to this the profile of the badge looks pretty close..

Flick thru Yuri's article and let us know if anything else comes close

          cheers

Yep, it looks like an EM to me, too. Same reasoning as above plus the low profile trigger guard.

              Lorenzo's EM

Lorenzo has graciously allowed me to display his Ernst Muller IAB next to the pictured IAB:

Nice work, Guys. The addiitional pictures are more convincing and it is nice to see this "Faceless wonder" EM badge documented. A rare badge , indeed!
