    Help with IAB

    Hi Everyone,

I would like some opinions on this badge. A local collector friend of mine did not like it. I really do not have a clue when it comes to badges. Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Joe

Side profile. Looks like a casting line.

          Your friend......

......has a good eye. Look at the strange color as well as the casting pits on the face of the badge, especially the eagle feathers. Never yet seen a mark like the one shown on the reverse of the rifle and yes, that does look to be a casting line from the side.

In my opinion......not for anyone's collection.

That is a cast copy of a RS badge, it even has what looks like the RS mm under the hinge.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Didn´t we have this fake discussed before, a long time ago? I faintly remember a fake where the initials of the US "reproducer" where reflected in the maker mark. Would that be one of those?
              Cheers, Frank
