        Dear Jerry,

The pic of the bronze PAB is too dark for that purpose, please rescan!

              Dear Jerry,

Interesting, despite the smaller size it looks good to me. Your pics are still not very detailed but I cannot find any fault with it.

                  Dear Jerry,

No, havenĀ“t heard about that ever. But the badge does not scream fake. I think your friend should hold on to it. Maybe some info will turm up one day. Maybe even a rare maker disregarded until now, who knows? If I take a look at my PABs, some vary considerably in size if you compare maker to maker e.g. Rudolf Karneth to Hermann Aurich.

                  Cheers, Frank

I'm with Frank--keep the badge. You can never tell (it has been 57+ years!) and the quality appears good. I have a FLAK badge that is a "minature" and appears to be the custom work of a jeweler. Many people would reject it as non-standard or flat out fake. It's too nice for me to give up and I always remember Great War Germany was once the land of the "prinzen" badge.

If your friend decides to get rid of it--let me know please!

                    Neil
