Hi,
Very nice box and badge! One question on the catch, it is set into a small "mound" and not on a catch, correct? If it's a "?" catch set in a catchmound, then I have no problems, otherwise there might be a catch repair.

I have some conserns regarding this IAB and would like to see a better straight on pic of the reverse and a closeup on the hinge, eagle both reverse and obverse images.
There are some differences on this one compared those i have in my files.Regards

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Man, that is the best IAB I think I have ever seen.
Frank, aren't these attributed to Deumer, based on the hinge setup?
Thanks

Dear Tom,
No, they are attributed to Deumer because Ivan B. owns a L/11 marked IAB of this kind. However, it is the only known badge marked that way, all others have been found unmarked up to now. If you compare the IAB with other badges by this maker in question, like the GAB, Deumer does NOT seem to be a likely maker. The L/11 mark on Ivan's IAB could be one of those ominous "Distributor"-marks.Cheers, Frank

Yes, its set into the mound, just as you described! Thanks to everybody for the comments here and in my other recent posts, very helpful indeed.
Here's the box, by request.Last edited by CollectRussia; 11-08-2005, 04:27 PM.
