    Army Flak Opinions...

An oldie that I've had for decades presented for public scrutiny.

    Thanks!

    Scott

Lots of wear & character to this one - but is it authentic?

              Hi Scott,
What little I know of these tells me it's not a good one. Mind you, I do not collect these. It's just the knowledge I've gleaned from our site.

Thanks Chet - all opinions are valued. I'm just no good at spotting the little details.

While the piece has quite a bit of wear and "gunk" in the corners, there is still some fine detail in the pebbling between the oak leaves - but don't know if that means anything

                Any other opinions?

                  Dear Scott,

I do not think your badge is a fake. We have seen several badges of this unknown maker on this forum. Your badge just seems a little bit more difficult to evaluate because some of your pictures give a wrong impression and because your example is very worn.
                  Cheers, Frank

Boah, Franks not afraid to lean out od the window huh?

I would be of a different opinion. I donĀ“t like the finish, the details or the fact that the eagles wing is not attached to the cannon but hey, thats just me and it could be fine.

                      Dear Skip,

That is absolutely no citerium to discern a good Army Flak Badge from a bad one. There are known original Army Flak Badges with unconnected wing!

I hardly ever lean out of the window, before I check if my feet stand on firm ground.

This badge here is identical, save for the reverse setup (Mike K).
