    IAB times three for review

    Hi everyone!

I have gotten hold of a few badges during the years and now I thought it about time to figure out the authenticity and, in case of good news, the possible makers. I don't have the Weber book (yet) and going through the internet for answers haven't proven so fruitful. I think the design of the first one looks like an R.S.S but then I have never come across one with the reverse looking like that. Suspicious, to say the least. I was hoping that someone here might help me out.

    Thanks in advance

    Erik

Number 1 looks like an RSS, #2 looks like a JB&Co. and #3 looks like a vertical crimp, deformed leaf, Deumer.

I agree with Ralph. The RSS looks to be in fairly nice condition, especially as these are very difficult to find with any decent amount of finish left on them. You definitely want to treat it and the other two with some Vaseline to get rid of and prevent the zinc pest.

I´ll agree with the comments on your IABs. Take some vaseline asap to stop the zink pest on your IABs.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. The good news made my day. Now, to figure out this vaseline treatment.

Take some vaseline on a cotton swab, apply a light coat to the whole badge, (crevices and all), wait 24 hours, and remove as much as you can using cotton swabs and a soft cloth.
