Numbered PAB with number afixed with two small pins

Saw a numbered PAB with the number missing. However it appears the number was fixed to the badge with two small pins that went thru the badge and were then bent to the side to hold the number in place. The number was missing but the pins were still in place and bent to the side. Anyone ever seen this type badge before? Sorry no photo available

That sounds like a postwar Souval fake.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Gustav Brehmer (G.B.) made numbered PABs with clamped numbers.

Yes that is correct. So there is a chance, but without pictures impossible to be sure of anything. In particular Brehmer #PABs have been heavily faked, the majority out there are reproductions IMO.

I thought I read where Friedrich Orth (FO) had made numbered PABs? Is this thought incorrect?
