    Hello,

    i have some questions:

1.) is the badge original ?
2.) does anyone know the manufacturer?
    3.) how is the condition?

    Thanks

    Hi Oliver,

Yes, a nice original. Maker is still unknown at this time unfortunately. It is commonly referred to as the Half-Moon based on the shape of the catch which is usually found on these badges (yours has the variant setup).

It is a zink badge with a copper coating. Some of the silver has worn away from the obverse which is why you see the copper underlayment, but 100% original and decently worn condition IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            Hello,

a friend says it is not the halfmoon-variant. It´s only the manufacturer of the halfmoon-variant

What is right or wrong? Or did i translate something wrong?

            Greetings
            Oliver

Collectors refer to this type as the half moon Gab. Manufacturer is still unknown.
You have a badge with variation set-up, it is less common than the typical hinge soldered on a half moon plate.
Technically your friend is right... but both types are from the same maker and collectors identify these as half moon gab.
A good determination and it still sounds better than unknown maker nr...., as there are several gab's that are not attributed to a specific maker.
