    Cupal Assmann PAB in silver.

    Hi guys,

would love to share this excellent silver grade Assmann panzer badge with you.
The basemetal of this badge is cupal. It's in a very good condition with nearly all finish remaining.
In hand it's almost impossible to spot any of the cupal basemetal with the naked eye but under magnification there are a few spots where you can see it.
I tried to make it clearly on one picture taken from the side.
Weight of this badge is 11,26 grams. It's a tad lighter than other cupal Assmann pab's in my collection. Most of them are around 12
grams. This badge has the straight soldered hinge and a neatly soldered catch.
    Finish is well preserved.

    Jelle

A side by side picture with it's bronze brother. I presented that badge earlier but the thread got lost due to the forum upgrade.
They are identical to eachother except one thing. Before finishing, the silver grade is coated above the cupal while the bronze grade received the finish straight on the basemetal. When the badge is worn on the uniform the contrast between bronze and cupal caused by wear is not so disturbing as the contrast
between white and cupal. For that reason i sometimes feel bronze grades can be more sharper in detail than it's silver counterpart.

Killer example Jelle. Both have a great look to them, especially your bronze looks amazing with the copper color coming through.

        Congrats on adding another

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
