Sorry, I meant GAB. Anyway, thanks for the information. It looks to be made of nickelsilver, imo. Is this an old fake?

      Thanks again!

I agree, this is a cast fake of the Karneth attributed GAB. If you know what you are looking at you can determine this badge as a fake immediatly.
First the obverse is very weak in detail compared to an original. The best giveaway for determing it as a fake is looking at the reverse.
Because it's casted from an original some details are opposite, instead of stamped the details are now raised.
I'm gonna post a picture i made some time ago. The left is a genuine Karneth, the right a fake. I know it's not the same fake as the one that started this thread
but it's just the same for your badge. I put some black arrows, compare these details. Also genuine Karneth have no groove in the bajonet on the reverse and both hinge and catch are wrong.

Yep, a very well made fake for me as well. This is the best GAB fake on the market, very well done. The base metal and wear is always well done, but reverse hardware is still a tell tale red flag along with the points Jelle shows above.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
