CCC, repaired catch?

I sold this clasp to a collector in Belgium and he has raised the issue of the catch being repaired / re-soldered. I never paid that much attention to it but looking at the first 2 pictures, it seems possible.
The last 3 pictures were from the estand listing.

How much does that affect the value? Maybe a percentage might be better than a fixed number??

No doubt about it, repaired catch for me as well. Not a bad job though and easy to see why it might have been missed at a quick glance.

IMO a simple repair to the original catch would lower the price by about 25% or so. It’s a nice CCC even with the repair.

I would agree that its a repaired catch. I do think that you will get varying opinions on how much value is lost with a repaired catch. IMO i would even buy a badge with a repaired catch...but I am picky like that.

I can only agree with Chris, valuation on a repaired badge is hard to determine because each collector has their own level of comfort. Like Chris, I don't care to have a repaired badge in my collection, the only exception might be if it is super rare, but even then I have turned down some very rare badges because of a repair or missing some hardware. So for me, a repair cuts the badge value by 50%.
