I couldn't really describe it as a "transformation" Dale, just a gentle sympathetic wipe down with the Vaseline and a cotton bud to help preserve the remaining finish and ward off zinc pest.Something I generally do with all the zinc made badges I have.

Thanks for the photos, Troy. I've been having to use my iphone for the past couple of weeks but I'm on my computer now and can see everything more clearly. It is much nicer than it appeared on my small phone, and I know the change has only been minor after the bath, but it does look better and will keep that nasty zincpest away. Looks like Tim sold you some nice items. Hope you make it through the work at home period without breaking the bank.
