    ISA (Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen) Hersteller GWL

    Hello,

is this an original ISA (Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen) of GWL (Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid) ?

The weight is ca. 30-32 gr., zinc, needle not magnetific (very resistant, no wire), you can`t write with this badge (alleged feature), the clasp of the needle is not brass)

    Thank you for your help

    Greetings
    Oliver

It appears to only have some excessive material near the hinge, its a good badge imo. Typical solid zinc GWL.
Some material off the integral hinge must have been pressed down...My best guess on what happened. Also the pin bottom is a bit beat up as this part normally has a bit of a point.

        Hi Oliver,

I can only agree with the others, I think this is a fine original GWL badge. The excess material next to the hinge wouldn't bother me much, these were later-war cast badges and excess material could squeeze into different areas from time to time. I was thinking the pin might be a replacement, however I think Job is right that it is the original with the tip having been hammered out a bit.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
