one looks at the reverse of the skull should say enough.. a reproduction!
Wear looks well altered, still a fake.

It's a more commonly found reproduction. Probably they took off the set up to make it look more believable.

That is my vote too, a decently made and aged fake. The hardware was likely a pretty easy give away so someone removed it.
