    Dear Robert
Never mind it remains a nice example.

If you can't easely remove the hingepin, chances are very good that this is a period repair anyway. In that case it only proofs how much the recipient cared (loved) for his PAB so why shouldn't you

      Hello Robert,

Very nice RRS PAB and now you have two! Did your first one have the same grass pattern as this one? Anyway..at least this eagle's head is in much better shape than the first one

        Hi Robert,

Nice to see a R.R.S. with the detailed grass pattern, that has so much finish left. The ones I've had of that pattern had close to zero finish left. That copper coating really worked!

        Regards,
        Greg

Thanks guys for all the comments. I just want to say that "i got my hands on it today" but i'm not an owner of this badge (yet) - heavy negotiations are in progress. I will pray hard...
@Dan, especially for you, RRS family picture with the ugly brother on it...

Silver one with copper coating peeking through under the turret. bronze one devoid of coating which shows as the finish is all but gone.

                      Hi Skip,

Thanks for these images; you opened my eyes to something!

I once had a R.R.S. that was badly corroded, and I never could figure out what was wrong with it since it looked like rust, but there was nothing wrong with it - it had a copper base coat too!

                      Thanks,
                      Greg
