Recently I have gotten a new book about german ww2 badges and it has a chart of makers and what badges they made. Why do you see org. badges that are made by a maker that was not considered to be a producer of the badge?

Two things:
1st, how can you possibly expect an answer to such a vague question? It is like saying, " I knew a guy who had an uncle who talked to a guy....." Name the book, provide examples etc...
2d, Perhaps we don't know it all.

I have that book too, along with another by Tucker. They're good references with some great photography; however, I think Michael Tucker would admit there are a few errors in them (which is the case with just about any reference book out there).

Tucker's book is a good book...one of the best of our time.
But it is not completely accurate, nor is he knowledgeable of all of the facts.
