    Don,
Made my last trip to the museum in Gablonz this past week. No luck on solving the mystery, though I found some info on medals/badges in general. I'm going to try the regional archives to see if they have any documentation from the firms in question, but at this point don't know if I'll have any luck or not.

Thanks Dale. Phorzheim (near Stuttgart) might be another location to look. I have come across different elements of logos that point in this direction. You would think there would be a registry of logos somewhere.

just finished talking with Hr. Gottsteins son. They looked very carefully at this logo and even did some research around other firms in their area. Nobody has seen, or knows who this logo belongs to.

The son also confirmed that Scholze has only ever used the "A.S." logo on their products.

So back to the drawing board on the AS in triangle.

Another reason to look else where for this maker.
