    CCC Help Please :)

    Greetings everyone,
This is not my area, so I'd really appreciate some opinions on this CCC.

I searched almost CCC 300 threads on the Forum, and found one example with the same pin & catch design as the one I am posting.

    http://www.wehrmacht-awards.net/forums/showthread.php?t=11906&highlight=ccc

Interestingly, both examples have some gilting on the reverse.

Thanks for taking the time to comment

I am puzzled, Ludwig, I was of the opinion these are ok. What makes you think it is bad?
                Cheers, Frank

That is an original CCC gold, late war and poor quality but IMO 100% real. The dodgy crimping can be found in several patterns but the grooved catch is characteristic of this type.

I agree with the others, good late war, low quality original CCC.

Ludwig may have meant to say save your money for one of better quality and more finish

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Oh, I just don´t like it and I don´t like the needle.
Of course I can be wrong.
I have never called myself an expert.
If you know it as an original, I am not going to argue.
Under all circumstances I would save my money and look for a clasp in better condition.
It´s worth the time and it´s worth the money (IMO).

This example is part of an extraordinary grouping, so finding something in better condition wasn't really the issue, but thanks very much for taking the time to comment.

Well, when do we get to see the grouping?
