A Few New Badges

Hello to all,
I have been quite lucky lately in the badge department. I picked up three Assault badges last week, and today I was fortunate to get another Panzer Badge and two Kriegsmarine Badges. All three of these are a bit salty, but that is the way I like my badges.

The U-boat Badge is zinc, and made by Friedrich Orth of Vienna. The badge is 48.89mm wide x 39.85mm high. At 17.2 grams, this is the lightest f.o. U-boat Badge that I own. The other ones I have are just over 20 grams.

U-boat reverse: The pin and hinge on this badge are steel. The catch is brass. On my other f.o. badges, all the attachment hardware is brass.

The f.o. marking on this badge is very weak along the bottom, but still acceptable in my opinion. Looking at my other f.o. badges, I would say that this one was made the latest.

I was quite pleased to get this Buntmetall Minesweeper Badge by Wilhelm Deumer. This badge is 53.85mm high x 43.56mm wide, and it weighs 24.9 grams.

The nicest thing about this badge is that it is marked with Deumer's LDO Number 'L/11'. Before today, I never owned a maker marked Deumer Minesweeper Badge. Most of these were unmarked.

This Panzer Badge still has a nice look to it. It is a stamped hollowback by F.W. Assmann. The badge is 60.09mm high x 42.37mm wide, and it weighs 17.6 grams.

On the U-Boat, it looks like the hinge is slightly set off the guide.
