      Dear Shawn,

Especially with these badges, one needs to see very good pictures to come to a conclusion. If it is a fake, it is not a bad fake, but still, one needs to check it up close to say original or not.
      Cheers, Frank

        Shawn,

Frank is correct in saying that you will need to post some hi-res images of this badge. In particular, the eagle, the rocks under the tank treads, (on the reverse) the hallmark, the hinge, and the base of the catch.

I doubt you will hear anything conclusive, or definitve, though. I became pretty disenchanted when I posted my JFS 75 PAB a year ago. There are one or two people that know what to look for in this badge. And they have shared the details with 'a chosen few' friends, who belong to the 'Blood Order', or something of the likes. The attitude is that if the knowledge is kept secret, then the group can weed out the good ones for themselves. And the rest of us minions will get the crap. Nice philosophy, eh? "Let the buyer beware", as it were.

How ironic! We discuss minute details of Knight's Cross progressive die-flaw failure, the stitch count in the brim attachment of an SS M43, and the dates and signatures on a Luftwaffe document......... but let's 'hush up' on the numbered 75/100 PABs.... I would have thought, that, looking out for the Community, the best way to put the fakers out of business would have been to 'get it out in the open'. Not so with the numbered 75/100 PABs. What a bunch of pompous, self-serving opportunists. Hope I didn't offend anyone. Just the opinion of an 'outsider', of course. I didn't make the grade.

A-N-Y-W-A-Y. Shawn, I think the best you can hope to see here, is an image posted of a good badge. The comment will be, 'study the known good example and compare to your badge'. No details will be explained. Although, maybe you'll be voted in via PM, and get to join the ranks and be sworn in at a midnight ceremony in Wewelsburg. (Hey, you'll get a nice Runic ring if that happens!) I would shower with accolade and praise, the Member who had the stones to 'let the cat out of the bag'. But then, that Member would be ostracized due to his broken vow to the secret community.

It's Sunday. Sermon is over. I hope you get your answer, but........

        Disgruntledly Yours,

          Geez Mark,
what happened to you?...very strong words here...have you been abused by one of these "Blood order members"?...i'm almost positive, that with good pictures, many very well respected members will voice their opinions about this badge...Chill out Mark, it is Sunday!

            Hi Robert,

Maybe it was the chemicals I sprayed on the lawn, last night!

Where did I put my pills?

                Numbered PAB

Thanks for all the replies, Gents. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case might be, I don't own this badge. In fact, it's being auctioned on (with clinched teeth) Manions. The pictures leave much to be desired, I realize. I haven't had a membership (other than the Guest variety) at Manions for the same reason well hashed out many times on this forum. Occasionally, I check out what they have up......the features of this JFS badge look good superficially (as compared to the pinned article on PAB's on this site. I'll request clearer photos; if Manion's follows through, I'll post. Thanks again.

                  Shawn,

Yikes, Manions. The odds of it being good, even with a comparison to a known good example, just got lower, IMHO. Not the most credible source of 3R material, I'm afraid.

                    Hi,

I see it in Manion , is not bad done , but I wouldn't buy it, I would buy another numbered badge for sale in Manion in this time ....

In Manion's original badges are scarces, but in this moment there are few important badges originals, IMO.
