        Walter,

Yea, we traditionally like to smack new guys around a bit. Initiation kinda stuff, ya' know?

Have you paid the fee and joined the Association yet, or just logged on?

        Regards,
        Mark

Just logged on so far to see what the forum was like.

Do I get granted instant intelligence and supreme knowledge of medal/award/decoration collecting if I ante up $25?

Let me look up where I got them when I get home and I'll let you know. I paid $50 for ten of them but they are extremely nice.

Imagine price tag in between maker mark and where bayonet and grenade cross, Sal.
                Cheers, Frank

Guys, you are wasting your time with this "new member". This is Renee Snyder, who sells on eBay using the name dedub67. She sells the same inventory as our old friend Charbador / Jim Farris / the82nd, which is the same junk as sold on Pieces of History and World Wide Militaria Exchange. You are being baited and your time wasted. She thinks everyone is as dumb as some of her customers on eBay who she's ripped off. She tried the same thing with the name Smoke oin the Imperial Forum a few weeks ago. Fake seller and she knows it!! She's not kidding when she says she bought10 for $50. And you'll see them on Epier or Ebay sold without mention of them being fakes. I think you should all visit her/his eBay site.

Sorry but I am NOT Renee Snyder; last time I looked, I micturated standing up thank you.
I was not trying to sell this item ; I was trying to find out about it and obviously I was taken when I purchased it. I appreciate the assist some of you gave me. At least the lesson wasn't too expensive.
                      Thanks again.

If that's the case, you have my apologies. As you can tell, we don't like folks selling or re-selling fakes as originals, ripping off beginners and giving the hobby and eBay a bad name, which the aforementioned people do. Which cave do you live in outside of Atlanta? I live under an overpass off I-75 near McDonnough.

........near McDonnough. Cool, Forest Park area here.
                          Nice to meet you neighbor.

I appreciate the assistance you guys pass on. I just wish I'd have found this forum before I got burned a couple of times. At least I now have some most excellent fakes to compare to the real McCoys. I suppose everyone got burned a time or two when first starting; it's like a minefield out there though.

I think I shall stick to collecting EK's and Wound Badges, although I do have a beauty of a Bronze Close Combat Clasp that is as close to perfect as possible. Got it from DKellyMilitaria/Treasures of the Third Reich.

Thanks again for the help. I hope to learn a lot from you guys and your expertise.

Before you sign off - can you tell us where you got the little glass-front case for the badge you pictured? Thanks.

Stunning Glass-Topped Quality Gem/Jewelry Display Box!!

I picked those up on Ebay a while back. They were 10/$50 but well worth it.
The email of the guy I got them from is: chekflow@gmail.com and his name is Alan Davidson. He had them listed back in May. I think he sells gemstones and used the boxes for them; anyway, it'd be worth the email stamp to contact him about them.
