    How would you explain this. Somekind of die malfunction just as we can see on some solid 7 wheel PAB's with variations in the number of cut out swas arms, 1, 2 or none at all?
    Hard to say, but I observed that the ones with only one cut-out are a bit more crude on the reverse. They required more handfinishing (filing) as well. Maybe an earlier vs. later production thing where the die suffered within time.

    @Robert: Not really. After one and a half years of looking at GABs on a daily basis, I know the types quite well by now. I knew it was an Assmann before I saw the mark, then looked for the mark and there it was. Btw, the mark has to be on these ALWAYS, as it is part of the die.
