A wonderful and rare plate. Issued to commemorate the Dutch soldiers who died in combat on the eastern front. Company who made these is 'Begeer' and they are all made of zinc. There is also a similar NSB version of this plaque. Do you have the box as well? They are rather small. Without case i would rate these at 500€. With box even more. Very rarely they appear on the market.

These were definately NOT Made by Begeer.

Value is quite a bit more than 500 euro actually.

Where is that list posted? I think i made it ages ago. Only about 100-150 of these are known so far.

Now i understand. When i was younger that thief befriended me and fooled me in believing he was honest. All that info comes from an old now not existing forum anymore where i used to post information.

Fantastic plaque! I've never seen one of these before.

Jelle says that they are small. What is the size?

              Thanks.

If it is so rare, is it really worth 500 euros ???
                    Regards, Oleg.

                      The 'Oostland'-plaques

                      Dear all,

These are actually quite rare and difficult to find...they were sent by the NSB-leadership to the 'next-of-kin' of volunteers killed in action on the Eastern Front.

I have three examples (dated: 1941, 1942 and 1943) in my private collection (one came still in its blue-coloured etui). I also sold two examples over the years....

I only know of about 30 pieces that are around in collections world-wide....so one can easily refer to them as 'fairly rare'....and deem 500 Eu a bargain-price....I think they are worth the double!

                      Best regards,

                      Coco

                              The NSB 'Oostland'-plaques..

                              Dear Stirnpanzer,

I have always liked to further investigate these plaques and I have found an entry in an NSB-publication regarding Polman (as attached)

His full name was Herman Casper POLMAN and he had the NSB-partynumber: 85029: regrettably nothing more on his DOB or profession.

                              Just for your information....

                              Best regards,

                              Coco
