Recent Addition - Fritz Zimmermann IAB

    Hi guys,

Just picked up this nicely preserved FZS IAB. Thsi is the earliest IAB variant by this maker, with soldered on barrel hinge, the later ones have crimped in hardware or later-war folded sheet metal hinges. Really happy with this one as it has almost all its original silver finish remaining and nicely detailed.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi Tom,

You are doing well lately, finding some great examples for the collection. The FZZS have a nice design and their finish hold well normally. I just wish they made a couple more PAB and GAB.
Congrats on adding such a nice Zimmermann IAB.

        Best regards,
        Job

                Hi guys,

Thanks for the great comments, I appreciate it.

Job, yes you are right it would be nice if the made just a few more PABs and GABs, so atleast more than 1 of us can have one in the collection

Been relatively lucky the last few months finding some nice examples to fill holes in my IAB collection. As always for me, the fun of this hobby is the thrill of the hunt. I like to find nice badges at good prices, so for me its fun to hunt and peck through the internet finding the odd maker or variant I am missing at the right price.

                Thanks guys.

The thrill of the chase is what makes it fun right? I like owning nice items but I enjoy the search way better then actually owning the medal.

Nice badge Tom, I have had a couple of them, but never with this much finish remaining.

Are there any know GAB/PAB's from Fritz Zimmermann ?

Yes, but super rare! I would have to check my files, but I think we only know of 1 or 2 marked PABs and 1 or 2 marked GABs. They are impossible to find unfortunately.

I know where one of the GAB is but he is not selling
I always say the hunt is at least half the fun.
